What Knife Do You Want?

2) what will you do with the knife or is it a personalized gift?

3) are you hard on gear like we are?

4) what size do you prefer and works best for you?, etc.

After discussing what you want for your knife choices, we will offer knife blade and style options, and give you recommendations on the customize knife handle based on the materials or colors you prefer. Then you decide what you want.

Blade styles

Drop point - sturdy, downward turning tip, rounded belly
Clip Point - upswept sharp tip
Utility Camp - sturdy, decent point - general cutting use or whittling
Damascus - layered, faint lines
Chef Blade - large triangular, for chopping
Skinning - smooth rounded belly
Fillet - flexible sharp blade
Gut Hook Skinner - small hook on top of blade for cutting hide
Woodsman - longer upswept blade with sharp tip

Desert Ironwood - dark lines, good shine
Honduran Rosewood - excellent deep finish
Cocobola - brown with veins, polished
Paduk - reddish tint, darkens with age
Bubinga - smooth fine pore texture
Bocote - dark brown with darker veins
Leopardwood - scaly appearance, 3D
Ziricote - dark with lighter veins
African Blackwood - dark, uniform look
Zebrawood - light & darker straight lines
Bird's Eye Maple - small round circles
Tiger Maple - Cross veins of darker & lighter
Curly Maple - vein variations
Mesquite - good medium dark variety
Walnut - dark brown
